What is Ethical Landscapes?
Ethical Landscapes is a participatory research and practice initiative led by Erica Rabe. It brings together social justice, climate resilience and responsible AI governance, working with people and institutions to shape futures with care and context.
Who is behind Ethical Landscapes?
Erica Rabe founded and leads Ethical Landscapes. She has 15 years of experience as a social worker and now works in ethical AI, with research linking environmental rights and children's rights to meaningful participation and context-driven technology development.
What services does the consultancy offer?
Four strands: research and advisory, training and workshops, participation projects, and speaking and collaboration. Participation projects are running now; the other strands are being developed and are marked as coming soon.
What does participatory research mean in practice?
It means people affected by a decision help shape the questions, the methods and the interpretation — not only the data collection. In practice this looks like co-designed sessions, qualitative methods, and findings that are returned to participants in an accessible form.
Who do you work with?
Organisations, community groups, researchers and practitioners working on children's rights, climate and responsible AI. Partnership and pilot proposals are welcome, including early-stage ideas.
Are workshops available to book?
Workshops and pilot sessions are currently being scheduled. Send a short note describing your context and group, and a session plan can be co-designed with you before booking is confirmed.
Where can I read the writing and research?
Essays and research notes are published on the Ethical Landscapes Substack and surfaced on the Research page. Publications are also listed on ORCID at orcid.org/0009-0006-1724-5305.
